For the Family Holiday Programs is currently under development. If you would like to be a part of this team, we would love to hear from you. Although Christmas is a major American Christian holiday, there are many families that do not celebrate Christian Holidays. We are looking for a multi-cultural team to be inclusive to all Americans and present ideas that will satisfy the traditions of as many cultures as possible.
Christmas Gift Making and Feast.
This 15 hour workshop is completed over four days.
December 12th from 1 PM – 5 PM. Reflections I. Talk about past Christmas experiences with the group, and learn to write reflection journals and do mindful meditation techniques to help cope with the stress and anxiety of holidays. Make invitations to feast and gifts for four family members (or the most important people in their life when the family is absent).
December 14th from 4 PM – 6 PM: Create plans for a feast to feed up to 100 people.
December 19th 9 AM – 2 PM: Prepare the Feast 2 PM – 4 PM Eat with family.
December 28th 1 PM – 3 PM: Reflections II. Talk about this Christmas experience with the group, and learn to write reflection journals and do mindful meditation techniques to help cope with the stress and anxiety of holidays.
COST: To Be Determined. Includes 4 gifts and 4 guests to the feast.
